I am the mom...

I am the mom who loves to leisurely grocery shopping without a child in my cart.
I am the mom who always has a snack on hand (whether its for me or my daughter is irrelevant.)
I am the mom who over packs for her kid yet forgets to pack her own underwear.
I am the mom who nicely folds her husbands and daughters clothes but just lays hers to the side.
I am the mom who eats the rejects from my daughters meals.
I am the mom who has full conversations with her daughter who can't even talk yet.
I am the mom who falls in love all over again with her husband every time she seems him play with their daughter.
I am the mom who can't go into Babys R Us without buying something.
I am the mom who looks at the monitor & cracks up at her daughter playing in her crib (especially when she is so sleepy she is falling over or repetitively kicking one leg.)
I am the mom who can't wait for her baby to walk.
I am the mom who lets her daughter watch Sesame Street when she is on the brink of losing her mind (or sometimes just because.)
I am the mom who sometimes needs to remind herself she is also a wife.
I am the mom who worries about passing on her learning disability to her children.
I am the mom without a mom.
I am the mom who is crazy paranoid about pedophiles and kidnappers.
I am the mom who wants her daughter to spend as much time with their extended family as possible.
I am the mom who has tattoos and is married to the man who has tattoos.
I am the mom who is agnostic.
I am the mom who has a million nicknames for her baby.
I am the mom who feels so blessed by her daughters health and happiness.
I am the mom who worried about writing that above statement in fear that I would "jinx" it.
I am the mom who couldn't wait for her child to eat table food.
I am the mom who sometimes wishes we were still on bottles so she wouldn't have to come up with meals for the baby.
I am the mom who couldn't wait to be a mom.
I am the mom who takes so many pictures there is no place to keep them all.
I am the mom who is so lucky to have been handed down so many clothes and almost all of her daughters toys.
I am the mom who "passes it on."
I am the mom who isn't perfect but does her best.
I am the mom who tries to realize when she isn't doing her best so she can try and do better for her daughter.
I am the mom who can get more done before 10am than most people.
I am the mom who can get nothing done before 10am.
I am the mom who can't imagine her life without her precious baby but loves the feeling of freedom when her MIL takes the baby for a weekend.
I am the mom who loves lists.
I am the mom who can only handle so much whining.
I am the mom who sometimes needs a break from being a mom.
I am a mom.

  4. Your list rings true to my own too. I think it takes a mom to understand a mom. I sometimes talk to my sister about my kids and many things I say to her just fly over her head.
